A Korrigan is a naughty Breton sprite, similar to an Irish leprechaun. Our name reflects our musical tastes.
We are Barbara (mandolin, vocals) and Jackie (GD and GC diatonic accordions). We live locally. Our interests are very wide and we enjoy playing tunes from Celtic and European traditions as well as English music. We’re relative newbies, having made our debut at the festival last December. We are grateful to the organisers for inviting us back.
We’ll be playing a selection of waltzes, mazurkas, an dros, reels, jigs and a slow air from, for example, Brittany, France, Scotland and Northumberland……….and maybe even something from Latin America
