We have just published the schedules of performances for the Summer Folk Festival over the weekend of 2nd and 3rd of August 2026.
As usual, these schedules may be subject to amendment between now and the festival weekend, so keep checking back!
- The Christmas Folk Trail for 2025
The Christmas Folk Trail for 2025 held over the weekend of 13th and 14th December 2025 was once again very successful even though fewer venues than usual took part. Those that did were hosts to a wide selection of very talented musicians and some very appreciative audiences.
Many thanks to all the wonderful musicians that took part and those that helped with organization and logistics.
Hope to see you all again in 2026!
Venues
Melton Folk Festival performances are spread over a number of venues, mostly pubs and tea-rooms, in Melton Mowbray town centre.
Over 30 venues have taken part over the years and each festival typically involves 12-15 venues.
Acts
More than 170 individual acts, representing both local talent and from further afield, have appeared at Melton Folk Festivals over the years. A typical festival involves around 60-70 acts, each playing up to 6 40 minute performance slots over the weekend.
Schedules
The schedules of performances are published here close to the date of the festival and are subject to change right up to the last minute. All performance slots are 40 minutes long and the start and end times vary by venue. There are also singarounds and sessions scheduled for more informal performances and playing together.
