Strange But True is an acoustic duo that performs songs from the British and American traditions. It features Rob Winder (vocals) and Mick Mangan (guitar and vocals), who first started working together in 2023, soon after Mick moved to the South-west from Leicestershire. Rob and Mick both have many years of experience, performing both solo and with bands such as Eagle Alley, Reynard Collective and  Larkwolves. The compositions and interpretations of Strange But True are inspired by folk culture, nature, stories and personal experiences, and fuse influences from traditional and contemporary folk, blues, rock and Americana to create narratives with a unique and distinctive sound.
